Art prints for sale

I have just added the first of several art prints to my online store! The prints are photographs of my own musical scores, in which drawings and other objects represent musical movements.

My experimentation with graphic scores started some years back, making visual sketches of improvised solo concerts. These sketches served abstract “setlists” to outline the overall dynamic and textural shape of the concert. I then adopted this apprach in the early phase of composition, drawing out sketches of musical movements ranging from short phrases to longer pieces and complete works. Lately, I have made music both for solo double bass and larger ensembles where the sketch becomes part of, or is, the actual score. Some of these scores have a distinct esthetic quality making them art objects in their own right, and I decided to put them out for sale. The first one is now available, more will follow soon.

I photograph most of the scores myself. They are then printed by a professional Giclee print lab on paper of the highest quality (Hahnemüle Photo Rag), in limited editions. Each print is signed and numbered, and sold with a certificate of authenticity. Please visit my online art store to learn more!
