LABORATORIUM

LABORATORIUM is an ongoing process-oriented platform based at Sørum farm in Eastern Norway. Through open work sessions, artistic experiments, informal presentations and collaborative projects, musicians, composers, artists and audiences are invited into the development of new work.

Rather than presenting finished results, LABORATORIUM focuses on artistic process as a shared practice, exploring listening, place, collaboration and the emergence of new ideas across disciplines.
Contributors to LABORATRIUM have include the Cikada String Quartet, Frode Haltli, Helga Myhr, Arve Henriksen, Vilde & Inga, Jon Balke, Torben Snekkestad, Tanja Orning, Gunhild Bjørnsgaard, Ane Marthe Sørlien Holen, Ståle Storløkken, and Ayumi Tanaka who stayed for a two-week residency at Sørum in November 2024.
